The Kids are Back at School - time change for our Community Discussion

Updated: Sep 3

ree

To all you dedicated parents and teachers, my hat is off to you as you witness your children and students returning to school, some naive to the events of the past week, some fully aware. Many of them are excited to see their friends again, many are fearful of being in a school setting after learning of the Annunciation Church shooting. And many are experiencing both at the same time.

Your role is clear: to reassure and encourage the children in your care. My role is also clear: to support you in whatever ways possible.

I'm truly heartened while watching the video accounts of children who have circled arount their peers, and of educators, the community, and public officials who have been there for those directly affected by this tragic event. In a time like this, love truly does become paramount.

Please do not hesitate to reach out by email or text to tina@howdoiparentthischild.com or 651-443-1786 if you would benefit from a listening ear. I was planning another Community Discussion Zoom call https://zoom.us/s/9818290098 on Thursday. September 4 at noon Central, but now I need to change it to 10:30 Central. We meet for questions and support, much needed by all those who love our children and want them to feel safe, first and foremost. Please join this free gathering, so you, too can realize you are not alone. And please share this blog with your friends, relatives and co-workers so that we can come together in unity on behalf of our children.

Sincerely,

Tina Feigal, Parent Coach, Trainer, Consultant
